Which customers should DEI grantees submit WIA, Wagner-Peyser, and DEI Data Elements for on a quarterly basis? DEI grantees are required to provide all WIA, Wagner-Peyser, and DEI Data Elements for customers who receive staff-assisted/intensive services and/or training from One-Stop Career Centers and who self-report that they have a disability.
DEI grantees are not required to provide data on walk-ins who visit a One-Stop Career Center to search job vacancy announcements or just receive information over the phone.
Optionally, DEI grantees may choose to send information for all customers who have available WIA and/or Wagner-Peyser data, as doing so will allow the DEI Evaluation Team to make comparisons between people who self-report having a disability and those who do not. It will also allow the DEI Evaluation Team to determine which customers are SSA beneficiaries and factor this information into the measurement of customer outcomes and program impact.
What is the purpose of the technical calls with grantees?
The purpose of the technical calls is to discuss the implementation of the DEI Data System. During the call your State Evaluation Liaison will discuss the three modes of data collection available to grantees (e.g., integration with an existing system, internet link to the DEI Data System, and hardcopy forms). Social Dynamics will help grantees review their existing data system codebook and provide a customized set of data elements that does not duplicate what is already being collected.
What will the Getting to Know You visits be like?
DEI Evaluation Team site visitors will stay approximately four days depending on the number of participating LWIBs in your state. The Getting to Know You visits will help the DEI Evaluation Team learn more about DEI start-up issues, finalize plans for implementing the DEI Data System, and discuss the various roles of key DEI personnel in each state. We look forward to meeting each grantee's DEI personnel and partners in April-May 2011.
How often do grantees need to send data to the DEI Evaluation Team at Social Dynamics? Each state's WIASRD and Wagner-Peyser data must be link by customer I.D. to the DEI Data System data and send to Social Dynamics on a quarterly basis. Grantees collecting DEI Data System data via hardcopy forms must send their WIASRD and Wagner-Peyser data in a digital data file on a quarterly basis along with their hardcopy forms. Hardcopy forms must have an I.D. number for each customer so the DEI Data System information can be linked to the WIASRD and Wagner-Peyser.
